BIEMMEDUE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW MORANDI BRIDGE IN GENOVA
BIEMMEDUE HOT AIR GENERATORS FOR LARGE CONSTRUCTION SITES
A year and a half after the collapse of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa, the first 100-meter span (weighing 1200 tons) between piles 8 and 9 on the west side.
The launch will be an operation divided into several phases: first, the span will be positioned on the ground and then, through steel cables, it will be raised a few meters and left under tension for a couple of hours to check the tightness of the lifting system. Then we will proceed to the actual lifting, which will last between 8 and 10 hours, and to positioning on the final supports.
For the first time, the veils will be seen, that is the lateral and terminal portion of the deck where the barriers and photovoltaic panels will then be positioned. BIEMMEDUE participated in the operations with its professional hot air generators which operated at full capacity to ensure the complete drying of the cement in the established times in order not to slow down the work.
BIEMMEDUE hot air generators provide the best integration between efficiency, practicality and functionality in small, medium and large construction sites (such as that of the Ponte Morandi in Genoa) and, being portable, they do not require long installation processes, nor special ignition: they make hot air immediately available in a constant and appropriate way for the size of the environment. A job that never stops that of the Genoa shipyard, where operations are essential every day to add many more meters to the already launched meters in the total reconstruction of the bridge. "Nothing can stop Genoa. Thanks to this operation, we will soon be able to launch the first 100-meter deck. We prefer the facts to words. Forward Liguria" - commented the governor of Liguria Giovanni Toti.
